Our People

Craig Folk is a CPA and Shareholder in the firm. He has a BS from Vanderbilt and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He has been in practice in Fort Myers for the past twenty one years. Prior to joining Miller Helms and Folk he practiced with Price Waterhouse Coopers in Fort Myers and Arthur Andersen in Miami. He has served on numerous boards in the past and is currently on the board of The United Way of Lee County and The Harry Chapin Food Bank.

Dick Helms is also a CPA and Shareholder in the firm. He has a BA from Emory University and an MBA from Stetson University. He has been in practice in Fort Myers for the past twenty five years. Prior to joining the firm he practiced with a regional firm and Coopers and Lybrand. He serves as treasurer of his church and serves on many boards. (Most recently the Trauma Center Citizen's Committee).

Ched Miller moved to Southwest Florida in 1986 and has been a Florida CPA for twenty years. Prior to that he was licensed in New York as a CPA and as an attorney for ten years. He obtained his bachelors degree in Economics from Colgate University and then his law degree from Albany Law School in New York. He was the founding shareholder in the firm in 1991. In 1998, he left public practice and acted as the Chief Financial Officer for a larger private homebuilder and then for a local public company. In 2005, he returned to public accounting. His professional concentration is in taxation and in developing a CFO consulting division.

Kathy Johnson is a CPA and Shareholder in the firm. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida. Kathy has been with the firm since 1997 and she is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Lee County, the Planned Giving Council of Lee County, Rotary, Women’s Life and currently sits on the board of Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc. She is also a licensed Certified Pool/Spa contractor in the state of Florida and a Floridian.
